I see a stranger on the road
I wonder what's your story
But I guess I'll never know
As I pass by I think
Should I stop to give a lift
But I soon convince myself
That I shouldn't give that gift

I wonder what you're doing
At 2:30 in the morning
Down that lonely road
I wonder where you're going
Where are you today
Did you make it there o.k.
I'm a bit confused about
The ride I never gave

I know I've let you down
Perhaps I've falied again
By giving into selfishness
Not to let you in
Too scared for myself
Not thinking about you
All alone on that road
