I prayed for your grace on my knees
I know you where there but did you hear,
but did you ever listen to me

I sat in your house deep in the mire
bursting out my desperate cries
I mourned and I cried for thy holy name
Wondering why you never where there

I have no honor, not any more
I was once proud but that was before
Now I've spoken to your closed ears
You ignored me when I prayed on my knees

I adored and I sacrificed for thy
but yet you turn your back to me
I have sat in your church here
but yet you where never there

Why have you forsaken me?
Why do you not answer me?
Why don't you listen to me?
Why don't you hear me?
